Edit Stripe Descriptor

The Stripe descriptor is the business name that appears on your clients' credit card statements when they are charged through WithinEHR. Setting a clear, recognizable descriptor reduces client confusion and helps prevent unnecessary chargebacks.


How to Edit Your Stripe Descriptor

  1. Go to Settings on the navigation pane.
  2. Select Billing or Payment Settings.
  3. Find the Statement Descriptor field.
  4. Enter the name you want to appear on client statements (e.g., your practice name).
  5. Click Save.

Tips

  • Use your practice's commonly known name — the one clients will recognize on their statement.
  • Stripe descriptors are limited to 22 characters. Keep it concise and clear.
  • Changes may take a few days to appear on new transactions.
