Sending, Replying, and Forwarding Messages
WithinEHR's messaging system supports the full communication lifecycle — from initiating a new conversation to routing messages to the right team member.
Send a New Message
- Go to Messaging on the navigation pane.
- Click New Message or Compose.
- Search for the client or staff member you want to message.
- Type your message and click Send.
Reply to a Message
- Open the message thread.
- Type your reply in the message box at the bottom of the thread.
- Click Send.
Forward a Message
- Open the message you want to forward.
- Click the three-dot menu or Forward option.
- Select the team member or inbox to forward the message to.
- Add a note if needed.
- Click Forward.
Tips
- Use forwarding to route client questions to the most appropriate team member — billing questions to billing staff, clinical questions to the assigned clinician.
- Keep replies concise and professional — all messages are part of the client's communication record.
