Sending, Replying, and Forwarding Messages

WithinEHR's messaging system supports the full communication lifecycle — from initiating a new conversation to routing messages to the right team member.


Send a New Message

  1. Go to Messaging on the navigation pane.
  2. Click New Message or Compose.
  3. Search for the client or staff member you want to message.
  4. Type your message and click Send.

Reply to a Message

  1. Open the message thread.
  2. Type your reply in the message box at the bottom of the thread.
  3. Click Send.

Forward a Message

  1. Open the message you want to forward.
  2. Click the three-dot menu or Forward option.
  3. Select the team member or inbox to forward the message to.
  4. Add a note if needed.
  5. Click Forward.

Tips

  • Use forwarding to route client questions to the most appropriate team member — billing questions to billing staff, clinical questions to the assigned clinician.
  • Keep replies concise and professional — all messages are part of the client's communication record.
