Getting Started with Telehealth
WithinEHR Telehealth enables you to conduct secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions with your clients from anywhere. This guide covers the essential setup steps to get your virtual care workflow running.
Adding a Virtual Location
Before scheduling telehealth appointments, set up a virtual location in your practice settings.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Locations.
- Click Add Location and choose Virtual as the location type.
- Name the location (e.g., "Telehealth") and save.

Scheduling a Telehealth Appointment
Once your virtual location is configured, you can schedule telehealth appointments the same way as in-person visits.
- Go to the Schedule tab.
- Click Create and select Appointment.
- Choose the client, service, and clinician.
- Set the Location to your virtual telehealth location.
- Click Create Appointment to confirm.
Starting a Video Call
When it is time for the appointment, start the video session directly from the appointment details in WithinEHR.
